You mean the Cali Hoover Crips don't have shyt to do with GD's? The set originated from out West but has since branched elsewhere. Where I was at you had people claiming Hoover even though it was the south. I'm not saying that the Hoovers in the south had GD connections because I don't know if that's the case or not. I just know from the situation I mentioned that a GD was down with the Hoover Crips on the strength of the Hoover name. I'm not sure what it was due to but I wouldn't rule out a Hoover Crip/GD alliance or Crip/GD alliance just because there isn't one where it originated from. These gangs faction don't dance to the drum of where it originated from. Even if Chicago GD's is cool with Ross don't mean that ATL GD's is. Just like Hoover Crips in Cali might not be down with GD don't mean that it's like that everywhere people claiming Hoover. The same with the name change. The incident I mentioned happened years ago but again just because they don't claim Hoover out west don't mean that the rest of the world stopped claiming it.
This is true. In LA and Chi it's different but in cities like Memphis or STL, GDs and Crips ride together b/c their ideology is similar or b/c Crips ride under the 6. Same w/ VL and Stones w/ Bloods under the 5.
Crips in LA rep the the left and GDs in Chi rep to the right so how can you be a Crip, rep the 6 and rep to the left? Or be a blood, rep the 5 and sign to the right? Crips/Bloods in LA don't do the Star/Nation thing, that's a Chicago thing. Another thing that adds confusion to the situation is that in LA there's the Black P. Stone Bloods in the Jungle that was started by one of Jeff Fort's leaders from Chi. Not sure if they rep the 5 or even have any ties to the Chicago Stones, but that just further associated Bloods w/ People Nation/Stones to places that have all of these Chi/LA gangs.
The Crip/GD thing and VL/Bloods/People thing exists mostly in cities/states where all of those gangs exist like ATL, Memphis, St. Louis, Mississippi etc.
