Rick Ross releases new albums to quickly. He seems to rush these releases, and his sound doesn't change which isn't always a bad thing but each album seems to sound the same and less tracks are standing out these days

Everyone gets old. Ross became irrelevant to the mainstream when basic lyrics been replaced by mumbling. People can't interpret a 16 bar verse anymore, and only can listen to trap music that sounds like nursery rhymes.

I don't know when he "Fell Off" But show respect. People are quick to say someone fell off but never point out when someone actually gets better.

Snoop understood this. Once your established, u build off your legacy by working with people exclusively.

Snoop started with a No Limit BBTP produced album.

Went back did The Last Meal DR DRE produced album.

Pharrell produced album.

Dam Funk produced album.

Adrian Younge produced album.

Etc.

That's how you do it.

You can keep the same subject matter but u have to find different soundscapes when u older.

Smart move would have been a Madlib produced album. A Pete Rock produced album etc. change that soundscape and people will listen just for the combination.

You have to keep people saying, what is THAT gonna sound like...

Ross doesn't want to vary his production. So he's drying up.
