I think there's some bangers on this album. Like straight up heat. The Bonus Tracks are probably better than some of the joints on the album. Damn shame he gave that hit to Jay-Z.

That said, I expect everyone to disagree with me but I guess I'm tired of Ross. I think the production on this album (like pretty much his whole career is AMAZING) and his mic presence is GODLY but honestly lyrically he has nothing new to say to keep me interested and he's not a good story teller. Even someone like Meek Mill is a better story teller than him (see Tony's Story 1 and 2).

BTW, I dunno why everyone hates Trap Ross. I think he does that style just as well as he does his smooth style. I felt like Rich Forever showed how good trap ross is.

Y'all really think this is Ross' blueprint? Wow....

I don't hear a lot of crazy bars on here......to each his own.

:what: I don't understand this argument about Ross saying nothing. Listen to what he says. He's speaking not just from the perspective of a drug dealer, but he's also talking from the eyes of black men in America. Ross is prob one of the most low key pro black rappers around. His music is motivational and inspiring in spite of the subject matter, and a lot of what he is spitting really hits certain chords that speak to the experience of black men out here trying to make it. Saying Ross' lyrics are empty and repetitive is a bullshyt position from people looking for reasons to hate on what he's doing with this music.

Walkin' On Air is just :whew:. The whole album is crazy. I like GFID, but this album sounds like what he described GFID to be. This album sounds more like it "tells a dark story" and is more "unforgiving".

Ross really didn't give Jay Z a hit. Ross could still drop the Reprise as a single since the one on MCHG was never officially released as a single.

There's no reason for us to have this discussion, me and you clearly hear music differently.

and I have no reason to look for reasons to hate. You need to find a more mature and articulate way of voicing your difference in opinion as opposed to assuming what people are saying is blind hate. I like Ross' music and I have acknowledged what I like in this thread (and will continue to do so), even quoted bars I liked (something in which many of the people championing this album haven't, we're literally discussing a rap album for 64 pages and there's been very little bars, thats absurd to me), I just don't think he's saying anything new or even has many very clever ways of saying the things he's been saying. That's my opinion. I'm not so easily impressed, I'm sorry.

i articulated my disagreement just fine. You don't think he's saying anything. I believe he says plenty. Now, perhaps you don't like the package in which those rhymes arrive, but the argument that Ross isn't saying anything is a baseless criticism from someone who either isn't listening or is but can't relate. :mjpls:

if you think I'm "hating", why do you even bother to engage me in a discussion? Let me have my opinion and move on if it's just "hating".

I don't think a good 99 percent of the people who listen to Ross' music (including himself) can relate to all the bricks and 100 million dollar shyt he talks regularly. "17 I was charging nikkas 17, riding clean youngest nikka in the Medellin." There's literally not a soul on this message board who can relate to that so your point is flat out baseless because you can't relate either hustla.

But yeah I have no reason to respond to you anymore. You're obviously going to blindly defend Ross in any discussion in which someone says anything unfavorable all while completely disregarding if I say anything positive about him as well. Move along.

This is 100% your fault.
Ross has never been about story telling. why would you be expecting such?

Every rappers is basically them on albums (don't understand the nothing new lyrically)
