Never reached the heights but that's mostly marketing and star power as opposed to artistry. I would entertain a debate about who has the better catalog, I have a feeling I'd ultimately prefer more of 50 Cent's work but Rick Ross might be more consistent . . but I have feeling the man recreates the same song over and over again. 50 Cent has variety in his catalog,

I think it's the opposite. rick ross has more variety even though 50 cent has more songs since he's had a longer career. Ross can do every type of song 50 can make but 50 can't make those BMF type joints.

I've really only listened to Teflon Don and a few singles, it just sounded to me like a lot of songs were the same and designed to reach the same flow pocket

yea from 2010-2012 ross made a lot of those BMF type joints. For example, bmf and mc hammer on teflon don sound similar.
