Ross is really in people's top 5??
He has some moments but that is weird AF to me.
He's borderline mediocre
I feel the same way when I read through Kendrick and J Cole posts. Ross is ill as fukk to me, but everybody's not gonna dig it. Dude just paints beautiful pictures and does it with style. And he does it fairly consistently. I fukk with his music for the same reason I dig Roc Marciano. Even if you don't like Ross, you have to admit that he's the only one doing his brand of music right now. And with all the talk about Cole and Kendrick and Drake being the next Nas and Jay--to me Ross's best shyt is much closer to the Nas and Jay I grew up on than any of these newer guys are.

Ross said his favorite verse was "Devil in a Dress" in a interview. You see, Ross thinks like his hardcore fans. We all knew Ross could walk on water when that verse dropped. W/ that angelic Mike Dean Guitar solo.......it was that "Holy shyt" moment, we knew Ross had destroyed any semblance of being destroyed by his haters. You know the mc's who hated him, never saw that one coming... The same guy that created BMF, could do that. He was listening to critics and he gave you one to shut them up, even the fans 
I'll say it again, one of the best in the game at writing w/ emotional visuals. He will have you wanting to fly to Miami to go flying across the water in a cigarette boat dodging customs w/ a "delivery" & even listen to one of Khaled's long winded "theories"

Devil in a New Dress is one of the best songs ever made, and is one of the few songs that completely makes genre worthwhile on its own.
DiaND and Tears of Joy are his two best songs.
