I mean..he ain’t lying

OK, this part of the statement makes sense, but a lot of people won't get it because a lot of people don't think putting a song together is an art. Understandably, I didn't get it either. I just looked at it as listening to a beat, writing to it, and recording it. The "execution" though makes or breaks the song though because an artist can have a great idea, but it doesn't necessarily sound great.
With Ross, that "2%" he's saying he exists in hasn't been home for him lately. Ross was great at pulling the very best out of everybody he was working with, but now it's like he's been getting scraps. Just think, he got one of Nas's best verses on "Triple Beam Dreams". It was some verse of the decade caliber verse. One of the highlights of Jay Z's MCHG was the song that featured Ross. One of Drake's most quotable lines came from the same tape that featured "Triple Beam Dreams".
Bullshyt and I wish people would stop treating rap like Mcdonald's commercial rap is the same as writing masterful songs that turn into classics..These nikkas make it seem like making rap music is this hard ass science, that’s not special at all but I guess he work with so many guys with ghost writers and producers his image has been clouded
As mentioned before, Drake and Ross are the two most synthetic, artificial, constructed rappers maybe in its history.
That they have in common.
If I was Jay, I would feel a type of way about being grouped in with these two bullshyt artists.
Even if it was just based purely on sucess Jay sitting over a billion and adapting through decades of an ever-changing Hip Hop climate should feel insulted.
There's a reason the state of Hip Hop is in shambles.
