podcast is wrong cuz nas been surpassed illmatic in terms of everything

    catalogue
    sales
    structure

man been droppin classic tracks for years.

nas raps over "the art of it" and its ok

if underground rapper A who raps on loops raps over it its a modern day classic and throwback

foh and fck you lame nggaz from my city w trash tastes

yeah I can't rock with this type of shyt.

    I've enjoyed his career

Jay lived off singles and mediocre albums with gems in between and no opposition because he had hits.

    this is purist bullshyt

While this would be dope...it's never going to happen. We all rejoiced when Nas started working with Joshua "Hip Hop" Kyambo...ie the guy who picked Hov's beats for years. Never got the album. Instead we got a weak EP with Kanye. At this point if Nas releases another album I think it'll be with Swizz.

My preference would be to get Nas with a variety of creative people with great ears for beats...and fly them out to Hawaii or Malibu or somewhere to just chill and record. Q-Tip, Alchemist, Ross, Terrace Martin, 9th Wonder, Boi-1da, Swizz, etc. Maybe throw in Pete Rock and Premo. Just a collection of great minds, many of whom understand what Nas sounds good over and what he doesn't sound good over.

I kinda agree but at the same time if you listen to Wale, Ross just let nikkas make the music they want even if it's wack. I don't see him checking Nas.
