Ross is what Nas Escobar should have been, so it makes sense. Hopefully if it happens it has an Escobar, cinematic mob boss feel to it

:ohhh:

I'm a Ross Fan but Nas is my GOAT and this actually makes sense. At first I wanted to give you the :dahell::camby:. But after letting this sink in, I get it.

Valid Point.

EDIT: And I speaking Career and putting together albums. Not The art of Rapping. Nas never had an issue with that IMO.

6-8 track EP, Ross/Nas coinciding with a 10-15 city tour and fans for both artists would love this.

I wouldn’t call the accolades useless. Nas has built his career off Illmatic. shyt is basically a brand name. Even tho it didn’t get its full appreciation till years later it allowed Nas to have all the success he’s had

Bullshyt. Nas ARTISTIC GREATNESS allowed him to overcome the heavy cross that is ILLMATIC.

One Album cannot give you 25yrs longevity.
That's preposterous

Ross doesn't see Nas in classic Albums or sales

See I never said ALL that. But how many artists can claim to have a debut as heralded as Illmatic? Like I said Illmatic has basically become a brand name. How many artists can say that? Read the post I was responding to to get some clarity on why I said what I said

This.

And to me this makes Nas one of the greats. Any other artist would've been fine living off of Illmatic and not dropping anything else because of the pressure. We're still waiting on a proper sophomore album from Lauryn Hill. Nas not only dropped more albums, he has other great albums in his catalog. How great they are overshadowed by Illmatic.

i love ross but how is this thread 9 pages? you can't believe anything this nikka says. Dudes main selling point for his last album was that he had pusha & wayne on a track , even went on a promo run only to find out it didnt make the album :dead:
And the selling point on the album before that was a fake engagement :dead:

Never implied that Ross was "better" than nas and said I said Nas is my GOAT so this isn't to shyt on Nas. However, Ross had a long track record of consistently putting together cohesive albums musically from start to finish. My only criticism of Nas as a fan is quite a few of his albums are either all over the place musically, too long, or the overall production feels lacking. Lyrically he never fell off but I'm speaking on the total product. So I can see how this collaboration would be beneficial. Ross also has a great ear for beats and the song's they've made together are excellent.

I hear you..but I'm saying
Nas has been more successful as an artist than Ross using whatever metric you wish.
He kinda knows what he's doing. Even though for whatever reason, some rap fans refuse to give him that credit
"Help" is not a necessity

But I get the angle of trying something new

Agreed. I'm looking at it as something new rather than Help.
