It's not about being forced to do it. If you wanna leave, that's fine. But you can have some common courtesy and some manners to just say that you aren't feeling it and you're gonna dip out. And shyt, if that's too much then just lie and say you aren't feeling well or you forgot you had to go let the dog out, or you left the stove on, or whatever. It's common decency.
