Original man was white, pink skin and dark fur in Africa. Then as the fur was lost pigmentation increased and black people sprouted as the original modern man. I feel as blacks ventured outward they adapted by losing a % of melanin to adapt to the terrain that is not like Africa. Everyone has black in them, that's too obvious I thought though.
