That Layzie Bone example is perfect, why did everyone in this era (with the budget) have to do a James Bond (Roger Moore era) impression? With elaborate costumes and set pieces for some shyt that has NOTHING to do with the songs title or content....
Not to forget the post apocalyptic videos, where for no apparent reason (yes I get 'Nastradamus and 2000 but still) the video is shot and designed like some sort of 'Mad Max' tribute.....

Top 5 album released that year if not top 3...only the South Park Psycho, Spice 1's debut & maybe Prone to bad dreams are better releases that year that i can think of off top.
