Because the right is not only putting money into its messaging but it is a message based around grievances. The whole idea is that the listener is the victim of outside forces that are oppressing them. The left used to be good at this messaging but has become the face of finger-wagging lgbt shyt and so on. People don't want to be talked down to, especially about something like that.

The thing is Donald Trump low-key re-wrote the Republican playbook during his first term. He successfully gave racists a voice and made them feel validated especially when that scrum happened in Charlotte when he said that these white supremacists had 'good people' in their ranks.

Then towards the end of his term in the middle of the pandemic he peddled conspiracy theories and pseudoscience and people latched on to it.

These right wingers have a lot of money backing them and it doesn't help that most of the owners of these platform filter what comes in or out.

I think we need to just wait it out because the walls are already collapsing pretty quickly under the weight of right wing grievance politics. Let these idiots get their jokes (lol libs, lol Dems) and let them keep complaining despite the fact that this is what they voted for.

I said in a thread this past summer about how the presence of right-wing and conservative rhetoric online and on social media is overwhelming.

That is one of the reasons why they won in November, they have the reach across the board in spaces that matter in this current climate.

I've always said it but Republicans spend a lot of money and time pushing their far-right and conservative agendas online and on social media. It's very rare to run into Democratic propaganda/rhetoric because there's not much of a presence.

That's why 7/10 you're always bound to run into some kind of MAGA/Far-right/conservative propaganda and talking points online and on social media because they put a lot of time, money, and effort into making sure their narratives are in your face.

Democrats don't do that as much as they should...that's why their agenda gets “lost in the sauce” or not as compelling because they don't create/make much of a social media/online presence.
