Sony will announce a new three-versus-three arena-based multiplayer first-person shooter from Killzone: Mercenary developer Guerrilla Cambridge during its E3 press conference tonight, according to sources of VideoGamer.com.
The site claims its was provided information on the title earlier in the year, which it could not corroborate with a second source. However, the game’s title, Rigs, was trademarked by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe this morning.
THe shoot will see two teams of players taking control of mechs and earning power-ups through kills before jumping down a hole in the center of the map to score points for their team, according to the source.
Platforms were not mentioned, but Guerrilla Cambridge were hiring staff to work on a “major future project” for PlayStation 4 last year.
