As someone who creates African/Black fantasy, Black Panther was really inspirational because for the first time it made me believe African fantasy could be successful on a large scale and not just be a niche. That single film opened the flood gates for so many Black creatives that we will see in the years to come. I didn't realize just how important his role as Black Panther was to me and countless other Black people across the globe until he passed.
