There are a handful of modern mothers that raise their sons to embrace their melanin and appreciate their women or to speak for the vulnerable and marginalized; especially in the face of adversity. I read her book co-authored by Jasmine Guy. She seemed like wise and resilient woman during her "ratchet" life experiences (promiscuity, drug abuse, etc). Heard her speak once and wish I had a chance to meet her. RIP Sis Afeni.

Hope her bum ass husband doesn't get her farm and Pac's estate and that Set can continue the legacy. Afeni really helped out the Lumbees in the Fayetteville/Robeson Co. area.
