There were 4 men that intimidated fighters before the bell rang. Jack, Sonny, George, and Mike. There may be others but not on this level. These guys struck pure fear in hearts. I always admired George for retiring that first time.

^Dope doc right here...Easy watch not overdone and dope commentary especially from his son...

He lived a long stable life for someone who fought as many bouts as he did...Its clear from watching the doc and his other interviews taking that 10 yr break did wonders for him life and style wise...

He wasn’t the most objective but I loved him as a commentator on HBO. He wasn’t like Roy or Manny Steward, he used to get on merchant and lampley. He was also hilarious. One fight he was talking cash shyt to them when he said “yall help built up this fight now you gonna tear it down. Don’t do that!” I always wondered did HBO have him as their foil? Because it definitely wasn’t staged.

He was out there with his commentary, and hilarious

Lampley: Cathy Duva is in the audience, telling Vargas to take the full 5 minutes to recover from the low blow

Foreman: can you imagine a woman now is giving instructions?

Merchant: Oscar isn’t doing much

Foreman: look at Roy and his brow, totally different

Merchant: what do you mean by that George?
