thats the gospel right there..when shyt hits home and they eventually experience the loss/death of a close one./relative, its a different story altogether.

The passing of one or many should help you reflect on your own life and what it means to treat everyone with respect.

Chris was a hip hop legend. I salute that and all..

but suicide is so fukking selfish to me. Why would you do that to your fam and more importantly to your kids.

Im sorry but I dont have that deep down sorrow that everybody expressing. His accomplishments in entertainment dont mean that much to me compared to what he suppose to represent to his family and kids.

Hip-hop manager Chris Lighty dead of*apparent suicide in his Bronx apartment: cops* - NY Daily News

Hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty died Thursday morning after apparently shooting himself in the head in his Bronx apartment, sources told the Daily News.

Lighty, 44 — a longtime manager of 50 Cent, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey — was found dead inside his South Riverdale apartment about 11:30 a.m., police sources said.

It appeared he died from a bullet to his head, sources said. A gun was recovered next to his body.

Law enforcement sources said Lighty — who divorced his wife, Veronica, last year — may have been dealing with financial struggles, including owing about $5 million to the IRS.

Musicians began Tweeting about Lighty soon after news of his death spread.

“R.I.P. Chris Lighty,” posted Fat Joe on his Twitter account. “That man saved my life.”

My condolences go out. Say what you want, Lighty had a hand in damn near everyone's career at some point. Violator was a management company /label and all, but they probably the most diverse collection of artists under one management team. Ahead of its time.
