What's up with these fairly young NBA dudes dying from heart attacks. Is it the coke?

It’s not an NBA thing as much as it’s a “giant” thing. Really big people typically die earlier than average sized humans. Andre The Giant died at 46 and one the giants from Game Of Thrones recently died at 36.

Their hearts have to work harder to supply their over sized bodies with adequate blood flow and they have an excess of growth hormone which takes a negative toll on the body. It’s like Larry Bird said you don’t see a lot of 7 foot guys walking around at 60.
