Damn. I was fortunate enough to see him live during this tour. He did 3 encores. Word most have got around that he was gonna do an encore so when he finished the first time nobody moved. Came back out did 15 more minutes

Maybe like 15% of people filed out. He comes back out does 20 more minutes. He and the whole band gets a standing ovation. This time like 80% of the venue is filing out. It’s halfway filled. He comes back out does like 3 more songs. Greatest show I’ve ever been to. He really was the GOAT

TIMELESS artist with TIMELESS music.

As much as we wanted music from him, he didn't have to release a bunch of music the way that a lot of artist do. The man was about quality. You REALLY appreciated his projects. None of that microwave "let's drop a bunch of songs to get the streaming numbers up" garbage.

R.I.P. to D'Angelo

Was just talking to someone about songs you can’t just listen to any ol time. Another Life is one of those songs for me. And time flies bc it’s been a decade since Black Messiah but til this day that song always freezes me up.

Voodoo is my favorite album ever and this may be my favorite song ever
