I was a senior in high school when it happened. When I was in high school, we had this program called Channel 1 news that they would play mornings we were in homeroom. Many of our teachers and white classmates didn't have a clue who Eazy E was, but the black kids knew and I was(still am) a hip hop head. The crazy thing is, a few days later, singer Selena was killed and I had no idea who she was until Channel 1 reported it. I didn't watch the news at home so I didn't see it. I was taking Spanish 2 that year and my teacher and Mexican kids knew who she was, but I had never heard of her until her death. I was amazed at how popular she was while not having a clue of her existence.

Brolic... Alcoholics
I was 10 when it happened. I remember it for two reasons:

1. He was my favorite rapper when I was a youngin. Not because he could rap but because he was gangsta as hell. That's fukkin' awful but I was ten years old growing up in one if the roughest neighborhoods in Houston. :heh:

2. Selena died a few days laters and I remember all the Mexican kids crying at school. There was a big announcement on the PA system that morning and everything. I just remember having my face screwed up and the teacher asking me what was my problem and I told her "The school didn't this for Eazy E :dahell:".

fukk... I was a stupid kid. :mjlol:
