Damn.... Dennis Green was the Vikes coach right around when I started watching football back in 97'. It was crazy to be a kid back in 1998 growing up in MN and the head coach, quarterback were both black and we had a young Moss as well
The Dennis Green coaching tree is VERY underrated.
Brian Billick and Tony Dungee started under Denny. Pretty sure Herm Edwards as well.
EDIT: The NFL must have read my post and blessed us with the entire Cowboys vikes 98' thanksgiving game
This, it's crazy the stress that job puts on you plus NFL coaches tend to be the most obese coaches in pro sports. Can't even think of a 300 plus pound coach in the NBA,MLB or any other sport but there are several in the NFL.Very sad. 67 certainly ain't no spring chicken but you figure the stresses of being an NFL coach aged the man significantly.
RIP.
ColdI know my Spurs nikkas wish it was Danny Green :mjlol1:

I be seeing ESPN and other channels go 30 mins praising them old NFL and MLB old ass coaches that 85+ but for Dennis Green u had to wait just hear about it...barely any news on this...sure not enough respect and akknowledge of him
First RIP to Denny. Man 1998 has to be the greatest year for NFL football, so many classic games from damn near every team with the Vikings being #1, fukk the Rams, those Vikings were the greatest show on turf. I wanted so bad for the Vikings and Denny to win that season.
