The D (where it's so cold)
Damn.... Dennis Green was the Vikes coach right around when I started watching football back in 97'. It was crazy to be a kid back in 1998 growing up in MN and the head coach, quarterback were both black and we had a young Moss as well :wow:

The Dennis Green coaching tree is VERY underrated.

Brian Billick and Tony Dungee started under Denny. Pretty sure Herm Edwards as well.

EDIT: The NFL must have read my post and blessed us with the entire Cowboys vikes 98' thanksgiving game:blessed:

First RIP to Denny. Man 1998 has to be the greatest year for NFL football, so many classic games from damn near every team with the Vikings being #1, fukk the Rams, those Vikings were the greatest show on turf. I wanted so bad for the Vikings and Denny to win that season.

Very sad. 67 certainly ain't no spring chicken but you figure the stresses of being an NFL coach aged the man significantly.

RIP.
This, it's crazy the stress that job puts on you plus NFL coaches tend to be the most obese coaches in pro sports. Can't even think of a 300 plus pound coach in the NBA,MLB or any other sport but there are several in the NFL.

I was sorry to see this news last night. Rip to Dennis Green. A damn good coach who probably should have gotten another shot after the Cards got rid of him. 67 is to young to be checking out and shyt.

R.I.P.

Anybody know why he never went back to the NFL? I was a casual back then, but he always came off as a good coach.
