Nothing gives me more pleasure than watching the Yankees loose. So as you can imagine 99-03 wasn't as enjoyable to me watching the evil empire amass trophies. I had to watch the paper tiger Twins, Oakland A's, the unlucky Red Sox, and my very own Mets come up short to them.
The Yankees under Joe Torre had a winning record against all but one team in MLB. That one team was the Anaheim Angels. GA was a Yankee killer through and through. Quiet and deadly. I will always rank him high on my list of Yankee killers. May he R.I.P!
