I grew up in 5th Ward. Would see George, when I was a kid, preaching on street corners. Just a mic, a little speaker, and a Bible. Was hard to believe that someone as terrifying in the ring could be so grounded and humble. Loved watching his unbelievable comeback, and his commercial success with the grill, but even more impressed that he remained grounded and humble. Genuine respect and appreciation for him.
