I hate when people say Suicide is selfish but offer little help to the person. Sometimes suicide is the cure. You don't have to worry, hurt or pretend anymore. It's unfortunate for her son and family but better than her faking it, imo. If she really killed herself then I'm just happy she doesn't have to suffer with herself anymore.
