Very sad to hear this. I met Forte at my job (I work at LaGuardia Airport) when he got pardoned by Bush. He was happy and glad someone remembered his music. It was cool as hell to meet him and he was just a nice dude. May he rest in peace and in bars. Dude could rap for real….

Watched the Kweli interview and I had no idea he had that much history.

He was the first A&R for Rawkus Records when they just had a rock band they were working with. They brought in John since he had the network to connect them to MC's.

Didn't know him and Kweli went back like that. Maybe I did back in the day but forgot. It's a great interview though. He was very eloquent.
