RIP to a great actor. Although it's not his best role, I will always fondly remember him playing Desmond Mobay/Johnny Basil in Oz as it is the first time I saw him.
Indeed, I remember being surprised by his physique when he hooked up with Pearlman on the Wire. He seemed to keep working out later in life too.

As iconic as Daniels was, I'll always see him as Basil/Mobay. Such a tragic example of just how dangerous heroin and drugs like it are. Took him a couple sniffs and he went from undercover narc to strung-out, murderous junkie for life.
