WINNFIELD, La. (KNOE 8 News) - There is new information as the story continued to develop in the deadly shooting of rap artist Lil Snupe.
Police have a suspect we spoke with the lead investigator Friday.
The first signs that life were returning back to normal in a neighborhood where 18-year-old Addarren Ross otherwise known as Lil Snupe, was shot and killed.
Police have a lead suspect in the murder, and are looking for 36-year-old Tony Holden of Winnfield, who was last seen at Maplewood Apartment complex.
Lil Snoop was visiting Winnfield this week, and it's where he took his last breath.
He met his fate with two bullets to his chest, and the reason for the shooting?
"With further investigations I believe he was involved in some sort of altercation that resulted from actually were betting on video games," said Lt.. Charles Curry, Winnfield Police Criminal Investigator.
Lt. Charles Curry said the fight broke out at the apartment Holden was staying at, and a window pierced with a bullet is what remains.
Neighbor, Nathan Joe said he was sleeping at the time shots were fired, but knew Holden and Lil Snupe and wished there was something he could do.
"He was on his way to doing big things. I mean I feel like, I don't know, it's just a sad story I've known him his whole life. *I know his dad, I know his mom," said Nathan Joe, of Winnfield.
And now that officials know that a video game started the fight between Lil Snupe and Tony Holden, a new question to be answered was how could a video game cause so much violence?
"It just got out of hand that's all I know. It got out of hand and lead to a young man losing his life man. I mean which is sad," said Joe.
Lil snoop ran for his life from suspected shooter Holden, and collapsed here where the memorial lay.
"We're following every lead that's given to us trying to find his where abouts. Were even asking people in the public right now if they have any information to call the police department."
