To add, this reminded some friends of mine and I about a friend, football teammate, neighbor, real brother, who drowned as a senior in HS...it's always sad man. We think about him about a lot.

I nearly drowned as a little kid. When I hear or read about someone drowning it just hits me different

Literally feels like a homeboy who I hadn’t seen in a while just passed. Just awful. I remember when his girl passed of stomach cancer and he handled it with dignity and grace. I’ll always remember that man to be the first to wear a Gordon gartrell shirt.
