Right I think when Jimmy Ivine signed chief Keef that was the first time a young real street dude got major backing and it's been down hill ever since.

It's interesting how drill started getting pushed hard right when Kendrick, J Cole, Drake and others were at their highest. Seems like majority of mainstream rap was far less violent and was even having messages.
