UPDATE: R.A. The Rugged Man has also commented on Pumpkinhead, who has reportedly passed away.
Pumpkinhead passed away today (June 9), according to
WatchLoud.
Pharoahe Monch and producer Marco Polo both reacted to the news.
"I'm completely devastated. RIP PH,” Pharoahe Monch wrote on Twitter today.
"Today is a very shytty day,”
Marco Polo wrote on Twitter. "Just got word my brother Pumpkinhead passed away at 5:40am this morning. My condolences to his family…R.I.P.”
Pumpkinhead worked with Talib Kweli, Skyzoo and others throughout his career.
He was
a revered battle rapper who released the acclaimed
Orange Moon Over Brooklynalbum in 2005.
Pumpkinhead's cause of death has yet to be reported.
