Sad story.

Dude always had some issues but was a hell of a goalie. However, the good ol’ boy NHL didn’t want to employ an outspoken, rebellious black man. Low-key, I think the league’s racism exascerbated his off-ice issues. At his peak he struggled to get a job in large part cuz he didn’t want to acquiesce to the racism he faced in the league. Sad.

Dude was a real one. Played a white game but never towed the line like many other black NHL players. He was vilified a lot and probably why he didn't get the chances he deserved. Dude went toe to toe with some of the biggest fighters in the league. Straight swag.
