man this is crazy. I came up on this dude watching Def Jam when i was a kid.

I remember this one joke he told where he met Redd Foxx, and he(Ricky) was broke and young in the comedy game, clothes was bummy, shoes falling apart, etc....but Redd recognized his talent/passion. He said he was talking to Redd and Redd told him he was gonna help him out. So Redd reached into his pocket, pulled out a fat wad of $50's, $100's in a rubber band. Ricky said his eyes began to well up at the thought that his comedy idol of all ppl, was bout to bless him....Redd took off the rubber band, handed it to Ricky and said, "Man put that sh*t around yo shoes!"

So crazy, just saw dude at work the other day. Seemed like he was doing better but could tell he was still off. Rip Ricky.
