R.I.P. his win over Kosta is an all-time upset

That said. Never seen a fighter take losing as badly as Ricky did when he lost to Floyd and he said he took it hard and was suicidal because of it.

The 24/7 between him and Floyd was the best all time. The 1st 24/7 between Floyd and DLH was weak because DLH was his typical carefully media curated self and Floyd was trying too hard to sell the fight and came off silly and he kinda got labeled as a goofball for awhile after that.

Hattons team in contrast showed Floyd zero respect and really allowed Floyd real personality to show as he didn’t have to sell the fight. Hatton made it known he thought Floyd was soft and he’d touch him up in the ring.

The British vs America wars on the internet were crazy :heh:

Floyd was probably the most hated fighter in America at the time but the Brit’s were so OD disrespectful the whole night that the crowd was chanting USA! USA! At the end :mjlol:

Anyway poor Ricky, I hope his family finds peace. Boxing takes more than it gives.

Damn so young. I know he said he spiraled bad mentally post Mayweather fight but it seemed from outside looking in he started getting his mental health back in order. Shows we never know what's going on behind closed doors.

Crazy, hopefully this doesn't get overlooked due to the Bud Canelo outcome
I wonder if his brain will be donated to boxing related CTE or mental health research
