Nothing lasts forever. Once Jeff left it should've been done there. I stopped listening once the Beast crew took off. I never paid attention to the actual website though. These things are corporate entities once u get rid of the creators.
Let's keep it a buck. Ryan dying was the life support blow to GB. The energy between him, Jeff, brad, Vinnie, and Drew will never be duplicated.once they had whiny ass Patrick and em (excluding Ben), the feeling was lost. Then they did the whole beast and west coast which felt like fluff most of the time, and once Jeff got the boot, it was a wrap.

It sucks because I remember being a day one Giant Bomb head since Jeff was on Hip Hop Gamer show holding up the belt and letting heads know Giant Bomb is on the way.

Grubb: "Giant Bomb has new owners, and you're looking at 'em."

Grubb just clarified that Giant Bomb was sold to him and Bakalar

Man. I haven't thought about this site in years, maybe a decade.

Was a spinoff by the old Gamespot crew who became disillusioned after executives forced them to modify a review of Kane & Lynch right?

The Gamespot crew was good when they had uh, the guy who started his own studio. I can't remember his name.

I've tried looking at video game media but it seems completely unrelatable these days. Late-90s through early oughts was a halcyon era for game journalism, gatherings, and conferences.

Technology was maturing but everything still had an organic feel to it.
