I grew up hearing my parents playing Sly & The Family Stone in our house & in the car, and even all these years later, Sly Stone's music is still just as fresh. That brotha was a certified musical genius, and a father of funk.
Rest in peace & power, Mr. Stone.

He was one of the most influential musicians of all time, and he put out some excellent music with the Family Stone.

The last couple decades have been rough for him and I was hoping he could get healthy.
