To be honest, I don't think he's even close to ready to come out with new material and anybody that thinks that JD returning fixes everything is just kidding themselves.

Y'all really can chill with this JT influence.

JT wasn't a factor until the beginning of February 2013.

If anything its because of dudes like Drake, Frank Ocean, and Miguel pushing for that OG R&B sound back in the mainstream. Also in some respects The Weeknd.

Hell even R Kelly's last album went back to the good shyt.

R&B is coming back. Look at Melanie Fiona and Elle Varner and Monica and Keyshia.

Ballads are about to be back at the forefront. Even TGT is getting back together.

JT is late to the party...even worse since hes doing these albums in a rush to fulfill contract obligations and it doesn't even sound that good. Dude is a hack.

Usher even left the HEAVY dance stuff alone. His last few weren't super poppy like Neyo's recent stuff but had that sort of evolved electronic almost slight miguel feel to them.

I want to agree but until its profitable again these nikkas will stay following trends. JT was gone for 7 years & he was gonna sell big numbers regardless of what type of music he came back doing... Usher & Chris Brown don't have that luxury because they've already been exposed too much doing trendy techno pop music. And no one from Melanie Fiona or Elle are selling & no matter how good their "r&b albums" are the labels won't really push or fund their projects like that since they haven't recouped due to low sales...

Miguel & Frank Ocean are the new faces or R&B...

Jermaine Dupri & Usher jointing back up is a great thing but I'm hesitant to see what JD can come up with in 2013 after being inactive for nearly 5 years...

It's a sad state of music right now... :to:
