shyt is sad brehs. Jack always seemed like a stand up dude. I ain't even trying to speculate but I find it hard to believe someone was targeting him. Sounds like the person shot into a crowd or something. Just crazy. With that said, even though he had a great and loyal fan base, I never think he got the recognition he deserved. He had lyrics, flow, and I think his voice/projection was dope.

The thing about the Bay/Northern Cali is that rappers stay in the hood even after making hella money hustling independently or going into business for themselves. If you go to the Bay, you will see local legendary rappers like Cellski, J Stalin, San Quinn etc. out on the block like it's nothing. Rappers from Northern Cali who spit about street shyt aren't allowed to walk the streets if they were never really with the shyt. That's the reason why big name industry rappers with questionable street credibility always get robbed and bullied when they come to the Bay. Rappers from other regions tend to move out of the hood as soon as they get a chance and can't even walk through their old hood once they cross over to the mainstream because they tell a bunch of MC Gusto lies about someone else's past from they hood. But bullets don't have names on them. And the streets don't love nobody. Whoever pulled that trigger and killed the Jack is a walking dead man. No real nikka had any quarrels with that man.

I have known Jack for about 10 plus years. I got started doing his PR on sohh around 2003 (not sure if anyone remembers). I always believed in his music and message. Jack was the reason I got in the music business in the first place! He was grounded, and never was too big to take time to talk to fans, take pictures, whatever...he always made time.

He used to get mad at me for selling his albums on the street he damn near wanted me to give them away..its just the type of dude he was. He would give his last to his friends if he had to. He had more loyal friends and fans than any artist I have ever known.

His music will always live on but the person he was is what I will always remember. The talent he had with music completed the circle of a solid dude.

Gonna miss my bro

I remember the work you put in on sohh. I think most of us could tell from his music and interviews that Jack was a genuine and all around good dude. That's why we're shocked by this shyt. Much respect for helping to get the word out there about the most underrated rapper in the world. Sorry for your loss. Peace.
