He didn't have a gun on him though so why did they shoot the dude?
Probably a million people in America have guns in their cars.
Don't matter if he ain't have it on him if he already fired it. Once you discharge a firearm at the police they automatically gonna be ready to use deadly force. If you shoot at them you giving up your protections when caught also cause normally you got protections under the 4th amendment and the Ohio law changed last month so you don't need a permit to carry concealed or disclose you have a firearm anymore. They would've never known he had a gun if he ain't shoot and one officer even tried to tase him while they were running.
The detail about the case will be, did the officer that fired the first gunshot mistake the taser being fired by his fellow officer for Jayland firing when he was running. Cause they're supposed to yell repeatedly "Taser" or something to that effect to make it know they are deploying a taser but I didn't hear that in the video.

Actually it looks like 2 different officers fired tasers because you can hear them being deployed in the video and see them on the ground when they start the actual shooting, neither officer yelled they're deploying the taser though but the shooting starts a few seconds afterwards.

From what I gathered two things:
If you shoot or threaten to shoot at the police things will not end up well.
If you are black you must expect the will Swiss cheese you up. If you’re white you might wake up the next morning in a cell.

I think the officers will get off if they're even charged at all. Ballistics will prove whether or not his gun was fired. Once he exited his vehcile and they were chasing him on foot, the officers will claim they had no way of knowing that he left his gun in the car and being that this happened at night, they will say they it was too dark to tell if he had something in his hands. The claim will be they were shot at once and were in their right to reasonably assume he was still armed and willing to shoot again after being pursued on foot.
Lori Lightfood, the Chicago mayor caught a lot of flack for the city's new policy of telling cops not to pursue fleeing suspects, but this is a prime example (I assume) of what that policy attempts to prevent.

I time stamped the part of the press conference where the picture of the gun was displayed. it was in his car. The police claim he shot at them during the car chase and left the gun in the car, got out and ran. He was unarmed at the time they shot him.
I think he only mentioned those others because they all happened in Ohio. I agree though that Corey Jones gets forgotten when people bring up these pigs killing unarmed black people.people never mention Corey Jones
