I might literally cry like a small child if I ever bricked my Macbook like that

For me it was just the timing (finals) and what I had on the computer. I had personal item insurance through Statefarm just for the computer (clearly that is the best $15 a month I've ever paid in my life).

I've never had an electronic device die from water damage. There's nothing turning it upside down and off (not turning it back on to check it periodically) for a week hasn't fixed. Two days usually for mouse/cell/headphones/monitor..

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
It might start working in a few days, if you have a dry place you can put it, or maybe place a fan near the vents you could try drying it out. I will say, you probably did a lot more damage to it by trying to turn it back on after it got wet, had you just let it sit the odds of it working again would have been much higher.

Some liquid spilled on my computer earlier. Now it's lifeless.
Has anyone had to deal with making a personal article claim through an insurance company? I need my computer fixed or replaced ASAP.

I don't have a MacBook, but my 3 year old wasted a glass of OJ on my HP laptop and it was done for..,......

But I wouldn't accept that so I disassembled it. Dries it up and cleaned out the sticky mess. In the end, I was able to fix it and it works now still. I mean this laptop was originally purchased in January so I didn't wanna charge it to the game. Actually the keyboard stopped working, but I was able I buy a new one off eBay for $20. And that's a whole lot better than $600 for a laptop.

:Noah: You're so right. I should have just shut it down and let it dry. It was okay immediately after it happened; therefore, I thought everything was all good.

I just got back from the apple store. They will fix/replace everything for a flat rate of $755. I kind of wanted it to be completely damaged so that I could get a new computer, but I wasn't that lucky. All I have to say is thank God for foresight. My insurance will reimburse me (I filed the claimed already) and I will have my computer back in a week. Also, I am forced to be more productive because I don't like working on campus late.
