RIP, far too young. Was a great person to bullshyt with on SOHH, loved his Syracuse. I hope wish nothing but the best for his family, married for only 16 months, tragic, but glad he and his wife had even that time together. I hope he left feeling fulfilled. Didn’t know him on a personal level, but just from his posting, journalism was his passion, and glad he got to work in the field that he loved. Glad

I found SOHH in 2001 looking for a way to download Lil Wayne mixtapes. I started posting in the coliseum regularly around 2006, and actually ended up with cancer for a year and was stuck at home going through treatments. I would spend so much time on SOHH in know the ledge and the coli, and Mel Yeah was a good man. We talked back and forth through the message ap on there a ton, there were some people on there that to this day I still think about and chuckle in real life. 2quick being one of them, even that crazy Boston b*stard Iron Monk. I was a younger man then, I got a son of my own now. Tough to see good people go before they should, but he was an old soul, you could tell because he never got riled up in the back and forth, he just laughed us off and never banned anyone. He's back to the source, he did good.

I still remember the 09 Yankees Season Thread. A lot of Yankees fans on the SOHH board were also Jets fans and we swore we'd all meet up if the Jets ever won a Superbowl (and we thought that time might have been coming real soon because the Jets got to the AFC title game twice)
