Crazy when you think of it I’ve been posting on sohh/coli since 2000 almost twenty years

I can prob count on one hand the amount of friends I still stay in touch with from 10-15 even twenty years ago

But I can prob name dozens and dozens of posters on here that I’ve gone back and forth with on here and sohh for decades

I think I signed up in 2000, was still in HS, now I got a SOHH offspring thats about to be 10
Matter of fact, one of the first people to hit me up when I had my son was someone off SOHH, shyt is crazy

Just asked my sons mom who went to Cuse and graduated his same year. Said “brown skin, short guy.” Said she knew him and his passing was all over the Syracuse alumni boards with pictures of his wedding and his daughter.

This hit me hard. I talked to Mel a few months back. He had just pledged and was as excited of a Neo as you'd ever seen. He had a beautiful family and was just a genuinely good dude. RIP, Brother Mel...

Brehs i gotta tell you at 38 this shyt hit close to home.

One of the folk i went to high school 3 toddler kids, wife, owns a great business, was in a ski accident on New Years Day, he hit his head, they checked him and he was fine. Goes home and collapses and died on the way to the hospital.

Life is too short, and the older i get the more i am so aware of our mortality something i never thought about in my 20s.

RIP MelYeah may Allah have mercy on your soul inshallah.
