systolic is consider high if above 160, not 130. And honestly even so, it depends on how the person's blood pressure is normally through out their lives. Some have low blood pressure and live healthy. You can have the perfect reading (120/60) and be dying. The blood pressure chart is there just to compare to the average person. Each individual is different. So no, judging someone's blood pressure does not determine your hearts health

wrong 160 and above is stage 2 HTN, over 130 is pre HTN. Someone with a within range blood pressure can be dying but it probably won't be because of cardiovascular issues. If I have AIDS or cancer yea I'm still dying but it isn't necessarily heart related. What you are saying is the EXCEPTION not the RULE. Blacks are prone to HTN and have the highest incidence of cardiovascular disease, coincidence? and 120 being ideal Blood pressure was last millenium, the lower the better as long as you feel ok. Healthy athletes tend to have bradycardia and borderline hypotension when compared to the parameters but that is because there body is more efficient then the average person.

The best way to understand blood pressure would be comparing it to RPM's of a car. A car's motor that is driven in the 2000-4000 RPM is going to last longer in general then a car you redline everytime out.

The lower is not better either but I'd rather have blood pressure on the low side than high side. A lot of black people suffer from hypertension and don't even know it. A lot of high salt food out there in our diets. Cut out the salt, get healthy, go to the doctor regularly brehs.

like I said the lower the better if you feel fine...key word is if you feel fine if you feel lethargic then it isn't good. The less workload on your heart the longer it will last . You obviously don't know what bradcardia or hypotension is :camby:
