Capcom Director Wants to Make a New Rival Schools

Fight, fight, fight. Matt PorterCapcom director Hideaki Itsuno has been coming up with ideas for a new entry in the Rival Schools fighting game franchise.
While there are no announced plans of a new game right now, Itsuno was replying to fan questions at NicoNico Chokaigi 2015 about the future.

"I'd like to make a new fighting game," was his answer to one question. Another fan asked directly about a new Rival Schools game, to which he replied "I've already thought of a new story."
Itsuno co-directed Rival Schools: United by Fate which came out in the late 1990s.

You been asking for a new Darkstalkers, Mega Man,Onimusha, PowerStone, Alpha HD, Star Gladiator, CVS2HD for YEARS and here we are 2015 and yall are buying the hype again. shyt I would settle for an HD remake with online capabilities for most of their IP's but they wont even do that. What would it cost to make Powerstone 2 HD? But I get fukking MVC origins(Which I bought) but its fukking pointless since they already have MVC2HD. We got JoJo Bizarre Adventure HD($15 at that) yet no Onimusha HD.

Konami is up there too

Darkstalkers -- Niche IP that doesn't have the selling value as street fighter, would die in the market today. Game was canceled because of x Tekken's fukkery.
Star Gladiator -- Same as Darkstalkers. Game flopped.
CvS2HD -- Capcom and SNK have a very negative work history regarding CvS2, mainly Capcom got paid for it while SNK didn't. One of the contributing factors of SNK going bankrupt a while back and why they're nervous about re-entering the gaming atmosphere.
Mega Man -- they ran that franchise to the ground with shytty sequels, spin-offs and collections. They didn't sell.
Onimusha -- Onimusha 3 was removed from Steam due to Jean Reno's likeliness/licensing issues. Won't see a sequel because of the success of Onimusha Souls.
Power Stone -- game flopped.

Things...happen. But with the recent success of games like Danganronpa and Persona glorifying the school life, and with SMTxFE having the same theme, Rival Schools could blow up in Japan/US.

I don't even care about mega man any more. Mighty No. 9 looks better to me than any of the previous mega mans. And no...we are NEVER getting another mega man legends so stop.
