I still feel that Streets of Rage 4 edges it out. It's pretty close tho. Impacts are better on SOR4 + it has more characters. Art style and music are more subjective, but I still think SOR4 take it there. Then you have the dlc.Yup, the best of the modern Beat em Ups by far.

Yeah SOR4 is better but not by much, that speaks to the quality of this game more that anything. I’m probably one of the most avid beatemup gamers on here there’s a few I haven’t gotten around to but SOR4 and this are S tier when it comes to fun, controls and music which imo are what make a game like these complete
I want the sequel so bad now
