There’s a “chicken processing facility” Conagra right outside of my hometown. It had a high turnover rate and it was well known people with “habits” would drink bleach the day or night before their pre hire drug screen so they wouldn’t piss positive - these are the people handling food for the normal consumer.

As someone who does pest control for a living I can confirm this damn near every restaurant I’ve serviced had roaches and/or mice/rats some worst in than others.
