Deniro is a legend in his field and cultural icon whom Jay himself has referenced numerous times. To think somehow being immature or demonstrating poor correspondence skills, a lack of integrity, and dis-ingeniousness is somehow winning is incorrect. It's tacky. Be a big boy, return your calls or have staff do it. See what Mr. Deniro is calling with regard to and if there's anything you can do for him.
If he proposes a project that you're not interested in, simply respectfully say: "Hey Bobby, you know I'm a big fan and I respect your work, but I don't really think this is the best move for me at this juncture. I'm more than happy to hear any other ideas you have." If Hov decided he's not fukking with Bobby period then respectfully say "Hey Bobby, you know I'm a big fan and I respect your work, but I don't really have an interest in collaborating on business. I'm going to focus on other avenues but I do wish you the best and hope there are no hard feelings because I certainly do respect you."
Point being, just be a man and be straight forward with people.
