So at "what was he supposed to do?". Either tell Deniro "I can't help you out" to begin with, or answer the fukking phone. Don't duck him then next time you see him act like "hey buddy, how's it going!". I don't understand why this even needs to be explained....people act like they don't have any kind of common sense dealing with people.

But it's hilarious how you have guys in here that have probably never been at a distinguished event in their life and know nothing about that life sitting here pretending to know proper protocol. DeNiro, if this story is true, acted very unprofessional. You do not make scenes like that in public. Whether or not Jay was right or wrong for not returning his calls is irrelevant. Dude made the situation uncomfortable for everyone involved and embarrassed Jay and himself. If it's true then he did it because he's Deniro and he knows that he has that type of stature.

But even worse, this was reported by a paper known for posting bullshyt and one that damn near called Jay-Z the N-word earlier this year. They just accepted it as fact and were like :yeah: "time to go shyt on Camel again." Cats lose all logic in situations like this. What was Jay supposed to do, get into a shouting match with Deniro?

The right way to handle it would be to pick up the phone and at the very least tell the person you ain't interested in whatever. Barring that, when you see them, talk to them like a man. He tried to defuse the situation with corny jokes and got sonned.

Here's the thing people like you still don't seem to understand. Deniro is a star himself, he don't give a fukk it's Jay. So "oh, he has an image to protect, he ain't Nas". You're acting like Deniro knows the rap hierarchy or cares about the differences between Jay or Nas. Trust me, I doubt he was bumpin "Ether" or "Takeover", so that shyt means nothing to him.

Like I said, people are acting like fans and not thinking clearly.

There was a thread yesterday about Dipset's diss records at Nas, I mentioned Wayne and Drake due to them being relevant rappers in today's state. As for Jay, yeah he does get hate, but it goes both ways, if there isn't so many posters on here willing to defend him at any rate, and always bringing up his business endeavors in topics that are irrelevant to discussion, then there wouldn't be posters in here always clowning dude.

I linked the article from MTV News that said what the argument was about. Jay said he'd do a song for a film festival for Deniro. He never did the song and ducked him 6 times.

It's all over the internet now, not just on gossip sites.
