It's supposed to be a romantic story though.

I really liked it but if I have a criticism it's that Eggers didn't do enough to prevent comparisons to Coppola's Dracula (which feels like the definitive film tbh). Story wise it was always gonna remind people of Dracula, since historically Nosferatu is literally just the knock off German version of the Dracula novel. But Coppola goes so far creatively that I couldn't help but compare the two films a lot.

True and fair enough but I need more balance of monster horror especially for Wolfman.
