So his gesture was useless because he didn’t fix America’s student loan crises
:deadrose:

Yea?

Tell white people to fix the system of white supremacy and to pay ados the trillions of dollars in reparations they owe us. What's his and your stance on these 2 issues?
I mean I'm "ados". If its a check coming then I need mine to. But im not waiting around for it and I'm sure what yall think this is supposed to fix in a society where there has to be a loser for capitalists to capitalize.

Idk who this Robert Smith or Jason Black guy is but he's right that this billionaire paying off this debt is meaningless. There's still going to be $34million to pay for the next class and all the ones after that until we fix this dumb ass system. No where else in the world do you have to get into 5 and 6 figures worth of debt for a fukking diploma.

Unless this billionaire is going to setup a recurring 34m check every year I'm not sure what he's changed or done other than shut nikkas up for a while.
You're making the same stupid mistake Jason Black is making.

I actually agree that billionaires engage in philanthropy as a way to get out in front of lower classes rabble rousing. In fact, this is why philanthropy became a thing in the early 20th century as a way to combat social movements from workers who were realizing they are getting fukk by wealth inequality. I also wouldn't put it past Robert Smith to also engage in this.

But there is a difference in saying, this is great and I'm glad he did this but also lets make sure we remember this crisis over here and making statements that completely dismisses the contribution by calling it useless. You can hold two thoughts in your head. In fact, I don't even think you'd have to make the former argument because most people aren't going to be swayed into silence by this gesture despite the intention.

Sorry, but paying off folks student loans is not "meaningless" especially to those who were affected.

There’s like 10 black billionaires. They can’t fix a system with THOUSANDS of non-black billionaires in a couple years.

Baby steps

It shouldn't be on just black billionaires. If you are a billionaire of damn near any kind then you have to utilize public infrastructure and resources to make money. Just based off that they owe us regular people alot more but its more likely that they get a tax break where they pay nothing.

People always forget that the GOP's economy is based off Reaganomics, which means if you give more to the rich then the money will "trickle down" to the rest. Well Trump gave the 1% the majority of a trillion dollars lowering taxes for the rich and most folks I know haven't gotten any thing but a higher tax bill.

I mean its a nice gesture for sure but its also whats to be expected if we were to believe Ronald Reagan. If the top 1 % as a whole did more of this then people wouldn't have shyt to complain about.

A lot of truth in this.. Jason Black and that Black Authority cat can’t stand nikkas.... and subconsciously, that’s why a lot of coli cats love those dudes.... and hang on every bullshyt word that comes out of their mouth
That and they get to believe themselves as superior negros who know what's really going on just like whatever talking head they follow even though most them nikkas are some miserable dikkriding pocket watchers who would sell out their movement for money or a bigger platform.

the ether
Look for people who have done something meaningful in their field. People who made a name for themselves before they started promoting their name on their own. THEN listen to what they have to say.

99% of these Twitter fools are just money-making scams. They know how to make viral statements and hot takes, but they don't know shyt about life. Stop wasting your time on social media.

in case people don't consider this, remember billionaires have funded THINK TANKS, CORPORATIONS, even funded entire coups of other countries...A handful of black people with money, 90% of the really rich are in entertainment aren't going to change the world.

You NEED black billionaires in business.

Robert F Smith is doing what THOUSANDS of non-black billionaires did for CENTURIES.

Black people really haven't had this before and its necessary but obviously its not enough. Even Robert Smith doesn't have enough money or time to do EVERYTHING.

I mean theres entire underworlds and criminal figures that have funded entire demographics and segments of society...black society has no functional equivalent.

Theres not enough african billionaires to do this who aren't corrupt government officials.

Robert Smith's donation isn't a drop in the bucket of what other groups are working with.
