@old_timer I read this book once called unbearable lightness of being by Milan kundera. Guy was talking about two different types of womaniser and comparing them to classical music. Can't remember the details but it was two ideas. The first was there's the man who looks for the one in a million. He has a type and keeps looking for those specifics. Then there's the man who looks for the one millionth part. He looks for the unique thing within and person you can't find elsewhere. Her laugh, or her strange neck, her dimples, her eyes. Everyone's different.
The one who looks for the one in a million repeats this motif, this pattern. Like they do in classical music where they play the same set of notes but with slight variations as the song progresses. It's like get trying to complete that motif or pattern.
I have friends who have a certain type or compare everyone to a certain person they can't get over. So they try approximate it.This can happen to males and females. Robin thicke and bundy apparently have that going. Me I think so far I'm a touch of both ways. But I mostly look for the one millionth part. But there's a few motifs that i would want to complete
